Seeking issuance of directions to the respondents to grant 06 weeks parole to the petitioner under Section 3(1) (a) (d) of The Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 1962, the petitioner has come up before this Court under Articles 226/227 of Constitution of India.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner wants parole on the grounds that his mother has to be treated and has referred to Annexure P-1 which is an OPD slip dated 16.12.2024 in this regard and also that the petitioner has lost his father recently.

State counsel does not dispute the factum of death of father of petitioner, however submits that no medical record was supplied to them that his mother needed treatment.

Since the OPD slip is of 2024, it shall be in the interest of petitioner, if he files a fresh petition after annexing latest record and also keeping in view the factum of death of father of the petitioner.

Given above, the present petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file fresh application for parole on the ground of treatment of his mother with additional ground of demise of his father. If such an application is filed, the same shall be decided within one week from the date of filing of such application and if the same has to be rejected, the concerned authorities shall pass a reasoned order in this regard and also communicate the petitioner without any delay. All pending applications, if any also stands disposed of.
