Present petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023, seeking entrustment of investigation in case FIR No.61 dated 30.05.2025, registered under Sections 115(2), 118(1), 351(1), 191(3), 190 of BNS, 2023, and Section 3(1)(r)(s) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (added subsequently), at Police Station Nurpur Bedi, District Rupnagar (Annexure P-1), to a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by a senior officer of the State, as fair and impartial investigation is not expected from the local police. 2.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the instant petition with liberty to take recourse to the alternative remedies, as are available to the petitioner under the law. 3.

Dismissed as withdrawn with liberty, as sought and recorded here-above.
