(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus for releasing detenue namely Reshma Bibi, aged 23 year, wife of the petitioner, from the illegal custody of respondents No.4 to 11, who have taken her away illegally and forcibly on 27.11.2025 and for handing over the alleged detenue to the petitioner, being her husband.
In compliance of order dated 03.12.2025, reply by way of an affidavit of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Rural), District Pathankot on behalf of respondent-State has been filed in Court which is taken on record and a copy thereof has been supplied to learned counsel opposite. 3.
Reply perused.

The alleged detenue, namely, Reshma is present in person in Court and she has been interacted in the Court itself after sending SONIA PURI 2025.12.12 17:49 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
-2- her family members out of the said Court Room. On asking by this Court, she stated that she does not want to live with the petitioner and expressed her willingness to reside with her parents. She also stated that she has voluntarily made her statement before this Court which is without any undue pressure or coercion 4.
On this, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the present petition.
