In the present petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the retiral benefits to the petitioner which has been withheld along with 18% interest. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that at this stage, he will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondent No.1 to treat the present writ petition as representation and decide the same, in a time bound manner.
