Petition herein is, inter alia, seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing the respondents No.1 to 3 to issue the passport to the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the respondents No.1 to 3 submits that the application submitted by the petitioner for issuance of passport would be considered by the competent authority/respondent No.3 3 Regional Passport Officer, Sector 34-A, Chandigarh; in light of the observations made by the Hon9ble Supreme Court in the case of <Mahesh Kumar Agarwal Vs. Union of India and another=, 2025 SCC Online 2887., subject to the petitioner submitting the following undertaking:-

  within a period of ten days from today, the application submitted by the petitioner for issuance of passport would be considered and appropriate order shall be passed thereon, within a period of four weeks from the date of submission of undertaking by the petitioner.

Keeping in view the aforesaid stand taken by learned counsel for the respondents No.1 to 3, no further order is required to be passed and the present writ petition stands disposed of, accordingly. 4.

All the pending application(s), if any, shall also stand closed.
