Through the instant writ petition, a challenge has been laid to the order dated 16.01.2025 passed by the respondent No.2- Maintenance Tribunal, under provisions of The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act of 2007').

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although the impugned order is appealable under Section 16 of the Act of 2007 and the petitioner has already preferred the statutory appeal, the same has not been entertained by the respondent No.1- Appellate Tribunal. 3.

At this stage, learned State counsel, who is in receipt of advance notice and represents the respondents No.1 and 2, submits that the statutory appeal filed by the petitioner against the impugned order shall be decided by the Appellate Tribunal on its own merits, in accordance DEVINDER YADAV 2025.12.16 13:50 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

In view of the categorical submission made by learned State counsel, no further directions are called for at this stage. Accordingly, the present writ petition is closed.
