Present petition has been filed by the petitioner, seeking grant of regular bail, in case, FIR No.17, dated 03.02.2025, under Section 22 of NDPS Act, registered at Police Station Balachaur, District SBS Nagar.

Counsel for the petitioner contends that a false case has been filed against the petitioner, alleging the recovery of 50 tablets of contraband, containing 16.40 grams of salt of Etizolam and Escitalopram Oxalate, from his possession.

Learned State counsel further informs that proceedings before the court below are currently scheduled for recording the statement under Section 313 of the Cr.P.C.

Without delving into the factual submissions raised by counsel for the petitioner, which may be meritorious, this Court, being apprised of the current stage of the trial, refrains itself from entertaining the plea for bail, at this juncture.

Accordingly, present petition is dismissed.
