This petition has been filed under Section 528 of the BNSS, 2023, seeking issuance of directions for transfer of investigation in FIR No. 155 dated 18.10.2025, registered under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of the IPC at Police Station Bhogpur, District Jalandhar, to any other independent agency such as the CBI for conducting a fair and impartial investigation; for formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the aforesaid FIR; and for directing respondents No. 3 and 4 not to harass the petitioner and his family members. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner has preferred complaint dated 15.02.2024 (Annexure P-2) but no action has been taken so far. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent No.3- Senior Superintendent Renu Rawat 2026.01.20 17.22 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case and the prayer made by the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-the Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar (Rural)-to look into the complaint dated 15.02.2024 (Annexure P-2) and to take action in accordance with law only if the ingredients of a criminal offence are made out, and not merely on the basis of a civil dispute within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, by passing an appropriate order.
