CRM-M-70356-2025 5.

In that view of the matter, even if this case is taken to its logical conclusion, it would only be an exercise in futility as the parties have already settled their differences. Therefore, no purpose would be served in wasting the time and resources of the State in pursuing this case to its pre-ordained end. It would, therefore, be better to give a quietus to the issue at this stage. 6.

Accordingly, the petition is allowed and FIR No. 160 dated 05.09.2025 under Sections 115(2), 118(1), 118(2), 3(5) of BNS, 2023 registered at Police Station Kamboj, Amritsar Rural and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom stands quashed qua the petitioners on the basis of compromise subject to payment of Rs. 10,000/- as costs in the Punjab State Legal Services Authority Disaster Relief Fund bearing Account No. 44426937384 IFSC Code SBIN0014656 Branch Name Sector 68 SAS Nagar, Mohali.
