The case of the prosecution is that on 20.08.2023, Ramandeep Kaur was found dead in her matrimonial home with ligature marks on her neck. It is alleged that she was subjected to harassment by her husband and motherin-law (the present petitioner), which led to her death. During investigation, in view of multiple injuries and medical opinion suggesting homicide, Section 302 IPC was added and the petitioner was alleged to be involved in the commission of the offence.
