The dispute is purely civil in nature, which has been given the colour of criminal proceedings. Further that, compromise had been arrived at between the parties on 08.09.2023, consequent thereto, civil suit was withdrawn on 09.12.2023, but the complainant has intentionally backed out from the same. Co-accused similarly circumstanced, namely, Charanjeet Singh has since been granted anticipatory bail, vide Annexure P-7. The petitioner is not involved in any other case; ready and willing to join the investigation as and when required by the investigating agency and will cooperate.

Notice of motion.

At the asking of the Court, Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State. Meanwhile, the petitioner is directed to join the investigation on or before 18.12.2025. In the event of hes arrest, she shall be released on interim bail to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer, subject to compliance of conditions as enshrined under Section 482(2) of BNSS, 2023.
