Through the instant writ petition, a prayer has been made for the issuance of direction to the respondent(s)/competent authority to decide the petitioners' execution petition (Annexure P-2), which has been pending since March 2025, in a time-bound manner. 2.
Succinctly stated, the petitioners preferred a claim application before the Commissioner under the Employees' Compensation Act, 1923, seeking award of compensation along with interest and penalty. The Commissioner, vide order dated 09.01.2025, directed the respondent No.4 to deposit a sum of ₹17,06,175/- along with interest within a period of 30 days, failing which the said amount was liable to be recovered along with further penal interest @ 12% p.a. The respondent No.4 did not comply with the said order within the prescribed DEVINDER YADAV 2026.01.22 11:06 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
CWP-37586-2025 time frame, which resulted in the filing of the execution petition (Annexure P-2) by the petitioners.

Learned counsel for the respondents No.1 to 3, who is in receipt of advance notice, submits that he has no objection to the issuance of a direction to the respondent(s)/competent authority to decide the petitioners' execution petition within a prescribed time frame, subject to the order dated 09.01.2025 having attained finality. 4.
Considering the innocuous and bona fide prayer of the petitioners, coupled with the submission made by learned counsel for the respondent Nos.1 to 3, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the instant writ petition by directing the respondent(s)/competent authority to decide the petitioners' execution petition expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, provided the order dated 09.01.2025 has attained finality. 5.
Disposed of accordingly.
