***** HARSH BUNGER J. (Oral) Petition herein is, inter alia, seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus, directing official respondents to decide the petitioners' legal notice dated 22.07.2025 (Annexure P-4), in a time bound manner. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that as regards the relief claimed in the present writ petition, the petitioners have send legal notice dated 22.07.2025 (Annexure P-4), but the same has not been adverted to by the concerned authorities, till date. He submits that petitioners would be satisfied, if time bound directions are issued to respondent No.2 - Director, Rural Development & Panchayat, Punjab/competent Authority to decide aforesaid legal notice dated 22.07.2025 (Annexure P-4). 3.

At this stage, Mr. Nirmaljit Singh Diwana, Senior Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, appears on behalf of the respondent-State, in pursuance of the advance copy of paper book having already been supplied to him, and submits that respondent No.2 - Director, Rural Development & Panchayat, Punjab/competent Authority shall take decision either way, on the pending legal notice dated 22.07.2025 (Annexure P-4), within a period ANKIT 2026.01.30 10:49 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court, Chandigarh of three months from today.

Keeping in view the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 - Director, Rural Development & Panchayat, Punjab/competent Authority, to consider and decide the aforesaid legal notice dated 22.07.2025 (Annexure P-4), in accordance with law, by way of passing a speaking order within a period of three months from today, after affording due opportunity of hearing to all concerned parties. 5.
