AARADHNA SAWHNEY , J (ORAL) Apprehending threat to her life and liberty from the private respondents, who are her parents and family members, the petitioner has filed the present petition, praying therein to direct the official respondents to provide her adequate security.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner, who was born on 20.09.2005, is being compelled by her family members to get married. She is not mentally ready for marriage and thus requested her parents many a times to postpone the said issue but to no avail. It is submitted that a representation dated 09.12.2025 (Annexure P.2) was also filed by the petitioner before the Police Authorities, which till date remains undecided. 4.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Kamalpreet Bawa, DAG Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3 and has no objection in deciding the representation filed on behalf of the petitioner. 6.
