By virtue of the present petition, petitioner has prayed for directing respondents No.1 to 3 to initiate appropriate proceedings against respondents No.4 to 6. It has further been prayed that representation dated 28.11.2025 (Annexures P-1 and P-2) be also decided expeditiously in accordance with law.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner, who was working at a mobile shop owned by respondent No.4, was not paid salary for 7-8 months. Rs.1,20,000/- was due to him as a salary. Instead of clearing the legitimate dues, respondent No.4 started leveling allegations of theft against petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner next submits that a representation/complaint dated 28.11.2025 penning down the entire sequence of facts was moved before the authorities concerned. It has been alleged that during the course of proceedings, petitioner was forcibly made to enter into a compromise dated 11.12.2025. The said compromise is a result of coercion, threat exerted upon petitioner by respondent No.7, a police official posted in Police Station Sandaur, District Malerkotla. On the asking of the Court, Mr. Kamalpreet Bawa, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and has no objection in deciding the representation filed on behalf of the petitioner. 6.

In view of the request made by learned counsel for the petitioner and the averments made in the petition, without commenting on the merits thereof, the present petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 to depute an officer not below the rank of DSP to dispose of the representation dated 28.11.2025 (Annexure P-2), within a period of 6 weeks, from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
