By way of filing the instant petition, the petitioner has alleged intentional and willful disobedience of the order dated 18.03.2025 (Annexure P-1), passed by this Court in CWP-7342-2025, whereby, a direction was given to the respondents to decide the Legal Notice dated 15.04.2024 within a period of 04 months and grant benefits forthwith, if the petitioner is found entitled to the same.

Notice of motion.

Mr. B.S. Bali, Addl. A.G., Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and informs that in compliance of the aforesaid order, the Secretary, Government of Punjab, Department of Agriculture has passed a Speaking Order dated 29.08.2025. Copy of the said order in vernacular has been submitted in the Court today, which is taken on record. A copy thereof has been supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned counsel for the respondent further informs that as per the aforesaid Speaking Order, the departmental proceedings pending against the petitioner, have been dropped and the pensionary benefits have been ordered to be released to him. It is further informed that the pension case of the petitioner has been sent to the District Treasury Officer, Hanumangarh (Rajasthan) on 01.07.2025 for release of pension. 5.

Learned counsel for the respondent, on instuctions from Mr. Chander Mohan, Senior Assistant, undertakes that the financial benefits in terms of the Speaking Order dated 29.08.2025, shall be released to the petitioner within a period of 30 days from today. 6.

In view of the aforesaid undertaking, nothing survives in the present petition and the same is accordingly disposed of. 7.

However, in case the petitioner does not receive the financial benefits within the stipulated period, he shall be at liberty to file an application for revival of the present petition and the respondents shall be liable to pay a cost of Rs.50,000/-.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand disposed of.
