The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the official respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 6 and take action on their representation dated 18.12.2025.

A compliance report submitted by the Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee, Gurdaspur, has been placed on record. It states that the custody of the minor has been restored to her parents and she is presently residing with them. The report further affirms that her safety, care, and overall well-being are being duly ensured, and that no further institutional care is required at this stage.
