(ORAL) The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondent No. 1 to hand over inquiry regarding large scale corruption being committed by respondents No. 5 and 6 to respondent No. 2-CBI. 2.

On 05.02.2026, the following order was passed:- "

Counsel for the petitioner asserts that petitioner had submitted complaint dated 19.07.2025, Annexure P-2, regarding corrupt practices and illegal activities in the office of Market Committee, Malerkotla and by communication dated 29.08.2025, Annexure P-3, petitioner was asked to appear before the Punjab

CWP No.38719-2025 -2Mandi Board on 05.09.2025. Counsel asserts that this communication was served upon him a day later. Counsel states that petitioner has neither been associated with the enquiry, nor he is aware about its outcome.

Advance copy of the petition has been served upon the respondents.

On asking of the Court, Mr. Siddharth Sandhu, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab puts in appearance on behalf of the respondents No.1, 4 and 5.

Mr. Parveen Chauhan, Advocate for Mr.

Gagandeep Singh Wasu, Advocate puts in appearance on behalf of the respondent No.2-CBI. Mr. Shubham Kaushik, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondents No.3, 6 and

7. He has filed Vakalatnama on behalf of respondent No.7, which is taken on record. He requests for deferment to get instructions.

With the consent of both sides, the petition is taken up for final disposal.

Learned State counsel submits that Vigilance Bureau has conducted investigation and report is going to be submitted before Human Rights Commission.

On the asking of Court, he supplied copy of report to Mr. G.N.Malik, Advocate, counsel for the petitioner.

The petition stands disposed of with liberty to petitioner to avail remedies as permissible by law if he feels aggrieved from report of Vigilance Bureau.

Needless to mention that this Court has not expressed any opinion on merits of the case.
