The instant petition under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 (earlier under Section 438 Cr.P.C) has been filed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.0190, dated 10.11.2025 under Section 406/420/467/468/471 IPC, registered at Police Station Dugri, Ludhiana. 2.

This Court vide order dated 08.01.2026 granted the concession of interim bail to the petitioner, subject to his joining the investigation. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in pursuance to the order dated 08.01.2026, the petitioner has joined the investigation. 4.

Learned State counsel has filed the status report by way of affidavit of Harjinder Singh, PPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police (South), Police Commissionerate Ludhiana, which is taken on record. He stated that though the petitioner has joined investigation, however some amount is yet to be recovered.

The recovery of the alleged amount is essentially a matter of evidence to be established during the course of investigation and trial. In view of the fact that the petitioner has joined the investigation pursuant to the interim order of this Court and no further custodial interrogation is stated to be required, the interim order dated 08.01.2026 is hereby made absolute. 6.
