HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI, J. (Oral) An affidavit dated 18.02.2026 filed by the respondent and the same is taken on record.

Learned counsel for the respondent-contemnor submits that the officer concerned is now posted at Kurukshetra and the respondent has submitted a written apology before him.

Learned counsel for the respondent further submits that the respondent regrets the happening of an unfortunate incident and has tendered unconditional apology to show his remorse and further submits that no such kind of act will be repeated during his professional career and in case any such act is repeated, not only stringent action be taken for such act, but the present proceedings be also reopened.

Keeping in view, the totality of the circumstances where, the respondent has filed an affidavit before the Judicial Magistrate concerned showing remorse and seeking unconditional apology which affidavit has also been filed before this Court, the present proceedings are dropped with the caution to the POONAM 2026.03.06 15:40 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

respondent to remain vigilant and be careful in future qua such conduct coupled with the observations that if any such act is repeated in future not only the appropriate action for such future act be taken but also the present proceedings will also be reopened for taking it to a logical end. 5.
