Heard Mr. I. Chakraborty, the learned counsel for the applicants.

No representation from the insurer though a copy was apparently supplied to him.

A sum of Rs.4,68,060/- has been deposited by the insurer for payment to the applicants. The applicants, who are father and mother of the deceased, by this application seek withdrawal of 50% of the deposited amount as they are badly in need of the money in their old age.

The prayer is allowed.

The Tribunal is directed to release 50% of the said deposited amount to the applicants after satisfying the usual formalities. The remaining amount shall be kept in a fixed deposit in a nationalized bank for a period of 5 years. The application stands disposed of.
