Dipa Chakraborty(Banik) on behalf of accused Sri Kishore Banik in connection with a case arising out of FIR No.135 of 2014 registered with Bishalgarh Police Station under Sections 409/468/471/34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 13 of Prevention and Corruption Act, 1988.

The allegations against the accused Kishore Banik are serious in nature and it is alleged that he is involved in misappropriation of huge amount of government funds in conspiracy with the other co-accused. Two charge sheets have been filed and on perusal of the charge sheets I find that payments have been made in respect of works which have not been done. The allegations are serious in nature and I do not think this is a fit case for grant of bail.

Bail application is, therefore, rejected.
