Suman Bhattacharjee, learned counsel appearing for the applicant-appellant Smt. Dipika Ghosh. In terms of the judgment passed by this Court on 20.03.2015 in MAC App. No.56 of 2009 (D/O), a sum of Rs.2,99,371/- was kept in fixed deposit in the name of applicantappellant on the ground of her minority and with direction that same shall be released on attaining her majority. Mr. Bhattacharjee, learned counsel submits that the date of birth of the victim as recorded in the note of the Registry dated 12.08.2015 is 14.11.2003 and therefore, she has now attained the age above 21 years and therefore, she is entitled to get back the said amount.

Considered the submission.

No objection was noted by Mr. S. Lodh, learned counsel representing the respondent No.1 on the last occasion against the said petition.

Considering the above said fact, the Registry is directed to release the deposited amount of Rs.2,99,371/- with accrued interest till date as was kept in fixed deposit in UCO Bank, High Court branch in the name of the petitioner Dipika Ghosh after observing all necessary formalities.

Money should be remitted to the bank account of the applicant-appellant.

I.A. is accordingly disposed of.
