JUSTICE S.TALAPATRA The instant application is filed for condoning the delay of 162 days in preferring the appeal against the judgment dated 23.02.2015 passed by the learned Special Judge, South Tripura, Belonia in Case No. Special 07 of 2014 (POCSO), wherein, the appellant-petitioner was convicted under Section 376(1) of IPC and also under Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and sentenced to suffer RI for 7(sever) years and also to pay a fine of Rs. 1000/- I/D to suffer RI for another 1 (one) month and both the sentence shall run consecutively.

Heard Mr. S. Roy, learned counsel appearing for the appellant-petitioner and Mr. A. Ghosh, learned P.P. appearing for the respondent State. We have gone through the reasons as explained in the petition and according to us the delay has been properly explained in Para-9 of the petition and the same is also satisfactory.
