JUSTICE S.TALAPATRA The instant application is filed by the convict appellant-petitioner for suspension of sentence dated 25.08.2015 passed by the learned Sessions Judge, North Tripura, Dharmanagar in Case No. ST./T-I/0000011 of 2014 wherein, the petitioner was convicted under Section 376(1) of the IPC and sentenced him to suffer RI for 7 years with a fine of Rs. 3,000/-, in default to suffer further RI for 3 months. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties and also perused the impugned judgment and the appeal being Crl. A(j). No. 43 of 2015. According to us, it would not be proper to suspend the sentence at this stage. Thus, the prayer for suspending the sentence is rejected.
