The learned Tribunal vide the impugned award has awarded a sum of Rs.15,36,000/- to the claimants along with interest. Smti. Suniti Paul, wife of the deceased, has been held entitled to 40% and the other three claimants are entitled to 20% each.

Since the appeal is pending, it would not be appropriate to release a large portion of the amount. However, it is directed that a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- be released in favour of Smti. Suniti Paul and Rs.50,000/- each in favour of Smti. Soma Paul, Smti. Sharmista Paul and Smti. Radha Rani Paul.

The rest of the amount shall be kept in a fixed deposit for a period of 3(three) years at the first instance and the interest accruing thereupon shall be remitted to the claimants as per their shares to meet their day to day expenses. CM Application stands disposed of.
