An application has been filed by Er. Tapan Roy for fixing his fees as Arbitrator. Sri Tapan Roy was appointed as Arbitrator by this Court and in the order it was stated that he shall continue with the arbitration even after retirement. According to Sri Tapan Roy, he retired on 31st July, 2015 but has continued with the arbitration and under the Arbitration and Conciliation (Amendment) Act, 2015 his fees is fixed at Rs.40,000/-(Rupees forty thousand) inclusive of all secretarial expenses to be borne equally by both the parties i.e. Rs.20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) each.

At the time of making the award, the Arbitrator shall be free to make appropriate direction as to which party is liable to pay the fees or whether both parties are liable to pay the fees. Communication be sent to the Arbitrator in this regard. Download Date: 8-05-2017 16:05 1/1
