This is a petition made under Section 397(1) of the Cr.P.C. for suspending the sentence as awarded by the Sessions Judge, South Tripura, Udaipur in Criminal Appeal No.22(2) of 2014 by his order dated 07.06.2014.

Having regard to the provisions of Section 389(3) of the Cr.P.C., this Court is of the opinion that the sentence is liable to be suspended till disposal of the connected revision petition. Mr. A. Ghosh, learned PP has raised no objection. Accordingly, the sentence awarded by the order dated 07.06.2014 delivered in Criminal Appeal No.22(2) of 2014 is suspended till disposal of the connected criminal revision petition.

The petitioner is allowed to remain on bail subject to furnishing a bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) supported by one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial court within 15 days from today.
