The main contention of Mr. A. Bhowmik, learned counsel is that the allegations against the petitioners' even if accepted to be true only relate to an intermediate quantity of Ganja and not a commercial quantity.

Even if that be so, I am of the considered opinion that bail cannot be granted to the petitioners because as rightly observed by the learned trial Court, the petitioners being Bangladeshi nationals will easily slip into Bangladesh and not face trial. Therefore, the petition is rejected.

However, keeping in view the fact that the bail application has been rejected, the learned trial Court is directed to ensure that if the accused-petitioners cooperate in the trial then the trial should be completed as early as possible and in an event not later than 30th September, 2015.

In case, trial is not completed by the said date, the petitioners can approach this Court again for bail.
