SAHA The instant application is filed for staying the operation of the impugned judgment dated 27.06.2015 passed in Criminal Appeal 53 of 2014 wherein the applicant was convicted for commission of offence u/s 354 of the IPC and sentenced to suffer S.I for one year and to pay a fine of Rs.1,000/- in default to suffer further S.I for one months. Heard Mr. SC Majumder, learned counsel appearing for the applicant who submits that if the impugned order of sentence is not stayed then the revision petition will be infructuous. Mr. A. Ghosh, learned PP also does not object to the prayer for suspension of sentence.

In view of the above, the order of sentence passed by the learned appellate Court with modification of the order of sentence passed by the learned trial Court shall remain stayed till disposal of the connected revision petition. The applicant shall be released on bail on furnishing a bail bond of Rs.10,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned trial Court. The interim application is disposed of.
