Case No.31 of 2015 registered under Sections 498(A)/307/ 326/34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) as well as Section 302 of the IPC.

The undisputed facts are that on 12.6.2015 a complaint was lodged with the Officer-i- -Charge of West Agartala Women P.S. by Sunil Biswas. In this complaint, he alleged that his daughter was married to one Ratan Das but she was tortured on demand of dowry. It was further alleged that on 11.6.2015 his daughter was severely beaten up and on 12.6.2015 her husband and the other accused persons including the present petitioner set her on fire and as a result of the fire the deceased as well as her 9(nine) month old son died. At this stage, this Court cannot go into the merits of the case. There are very serious allegations against the petitioner.

Therefore, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected. However, it is made clear that after he is arrested the petitioner can apply for regular bail which shall be considered by the Court strictly in accordance with law.
