AJOY SARKAR Vs THE STATE OF TRIPURA HONBLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE DEEPAK GUPTA This application for grant of bail has been filed by the husband who is charged with having abetted the suicide of his wife and it is also alleged that he has committed an offence under Section 304-B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). After perusal of the dying declaration of the deceased who has clearly stated that she committed suicide due to the torture inflicted on her by her husband and mother-in-law. It, prima facie, appears to be a case of abetment of suicide. At this stage without going into the merits of the case, I feel this is not a fit case for grant of bail.
