Mr. Salil Kumar Maiti, Ms. Pinki Saha ... for the petitioners Mr. Suman Dey ... for the State The only relief sought for by the petitioners is for a direction on the respondent no. 2 being the District Magistrate & Collector, Purba Midnapore to consider an application made by the petitioners to the Collector/District Magistrate, Purba Midnapore and others on 17th October, 2022 with regard to eviction of unauthorized occupants over the property belonging to the State under the provisions of The West Bengal Public Land (Eviction of Unauthorized Occupants) Act, 1962.

The State is represented.

WPA 33 of 2023 is accordingly disposed of with a direction on the respondent no. 2 to consider the application made by the petitioners on 17th October, 2022 and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order within a period of four weeks from date after

hearing all the necessary parties including the representative of the petitioners. A copy of the reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioners within a week from the date of passing such order.
