None appears for the respondents despite service. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

It appears from the report submitted by the police on 15th January, 2025 that both the petitioner and the private respondent claim title in respect of the shop in question. The report demonstrates that key of the shop was made over by the private respondents to the Vice Chairman of the Joynagar Majilpur Municipality.

Since the dispute between the parties is essentially civil in nature, the petitioner is at liberty to ventilate his grievance before the appropriate civil forum. In the meantime, the police authority shall keep strict vigil over the area in order to avoid breach of peace. The police authority shall render necessary assistance to the parties as and when required.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
