Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner and the report submitted by the State are taken on record. None appears for the private respondents despite service.

The petitioner seeks a fair and unbiased investigation of the complaint lodged by him. The complaint has been registered and investigation is in progress.

Learned counsel for the State has submitted a detailed report indicating the progress in investigation. In view of the above, the Investigating officer is directed to conduct the investigation in a fair, impartial and unbiased manner and take the same to its logical conclusion in accordance with law.

In the meantime, the police authority shall keep strict vigil at the locale and shall ensure maintenance of peace and tranquility. The police shall render necessary assistance/protection to the petitioner as and when sought.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to have been admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
