Petitioner Ld. advocate for the petitioner prays for expeditious disposal of MC 141 of 2021, which is under the provisions of section 125 of the cr.p.c. and is pending before the ld. JM, 3rd Court, Chandannagar, Hooghly.

The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that an application under section 125 of the cr.p.c. was filed in the year 2021 and lastly, affidavit of assets have been filed before the ld. trial court.

The record of the case reflects that next date has been fixed on 3rd of February, 2024 for hearing of the application for interim maintenance.

The ld. Magistrate is directed to dispose of the application for interim maintenance on the said date so fixed or within a fortnight thereafter.

The ld. trial court would thereafter fix dates for trial of the case and would fix a schedule of such case once in

every two months so that the main application under section 125 of the cr.p.c. is disposed of within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 3 of 2024 is disposed of.

Pending application (s), if any, is also disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon'ble High Court at Calcutta.
