Garain ........for the petitioners Ms. Shreyasi Bhaduri ......for the alleged contemnors The contempt petition arises out of an order passed by this Court on 23rd November, 2022 by which the State authorities were directed to disburse an amount of approximately Rs.3.6 crores to the petitioner within a certain timeframe. The order was communicated to the alleged contemnors on 25th and 28th November, 2022 and the said authorities filed an appeal sometime in December, 2022.

According to learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the State authorities have not taken any steps to have the appeal heard.

Learned counsel appearing for the alleged contemnors seeks an adjournment.
