1. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that he is in custody for about nine months. It is further submitted there is no direct evidence connecting him with the crime. Accordingly, he prays for bail.

2. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

3. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner was last seen with the victim. On his leading statement weapon of offence and his blood stained apparels were recovered. After murdering the victim, he dismembered the body and disposed it of at a different place. In view of gravity of the offence and prima facie evidence implicating the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant bail to him at this stage.
