Versus

The affidavit of service is taken on record.

The writ petitioner prays for a direction on the Eastern Railway to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 26th November, 2021.

The representation relates to the licence fees to be paid by the petitioner which the Railways have not indicated in their letter dated 8th October, 2021. The Railways have moreover, stated in the said letter that the petitioner shall be liable for the entire licence fees even during the period of lockdown and that the other terms and conditions of the agreement will remain the same.

The petitioner's seeking clarity of the matter has not been responded till date.

The Railways are represented.

W.P.A.49 of 2022 is accordingly disposed of with a direction on the respondent no.5 being the Senior

Divisional Commercial Manager (Sealdah Division) to consider and dispose of the representation made by the petitioner within a period of four weeks from date by way of a reasoned order after hearing the petitioner. The reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioner within a week from the date of such order is passed.
