Petitioner is aggrieved by the in action of the police authorities, particularly after registration of the Nandigram Police Station case no. 302/2023 dated 25.02.2023. It has been submitted that the private respondents have been threatening the petitioner and her family members.

As none appears on behalf of the State, Mr.

Sanatan Panja, learned advocate who ordinarily appears for the State is directed to represent the State. His appearance may be regularized by the concerned authorities.

In view of the submission advanced by the learned advocate for the petitioner, I direct that in case the petitioner is faced with similar inconveniences as on the date on which she lodged the complaint with the concerned police station, a fresh representation be made to the police authorities and if there is no response then

in that case the Jurisdictional Magistrate in seisin of the Nandigram Police Station case no. 302/2023 be informed by way of taking out an application. Learned Magistrate would call for a Threat Perception Report, assess the situation and thereafter pass necessary direction under the Witness Protection Scheme, 2018.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 99 of 2024 is disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
