1. Heard the learned Counsels for the parties.

2. We have considered the materials on record. Minor had been subjected to penetrative sexual assault. She has supported the prosecution case in her deposition in Court.

Under such circumstances and in view of gravity of the offence we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

3. The application for bail is, thus, rejected.

4. We direct the trial court to conduct the trial with utmost expedition and conclude the same at an early date preferably within one year from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. (Ajay Kumar Gupta, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
