The petitioner is aggrieved that two of his vehicle bearing No.WB 07J 7068 and WB 07K 2726, which had been requisitioned for election duty during the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, have not yet been fully paid. His grievance is that he has received an amount for only five days' of requisitioning, while the balance for six days' is yet to be paid.

Mr. Mitra appearing for the State submits that there are disputed questions of facts involved, since it cannot be ascertained from the records available, as to whether the requisitioning charges was for six days' or whether the petitioner has already been paid the amounts in its entirety. 3.

In view of the aforestated and particularly in view of the fact that a paltry sum is due and payable, which cannot be exceed Rs.15,000/- , it would not be appropriate to direct the petitioner to institute civil proceeding.

The petitioner will serve a copy of the writ petition on the District Magistrate, who will treat the same as a representation and dispose of the same by December 31, 2025.

With the aforestated direction, the writ petition is disposed of.

6. There shall be no order as to costs.

Since affidavits have not been called for, allegations contained in the petition are deemed to have been denied.
