Learned counsel for the State has produced a report in the form of instructions dated 12th May, 2023 issued by the Officer-in-Charge, Patrasayer Police Station, Bankura and the same is taken on record.

The report indicates that the private respondent Nos.7, 8 and 9 have been arrested and detained in custody.

The petitioner prays that the investigation into the FIR must now be transferred to the CID, West Bengal. 4.

Having heard the learned counsel for the parties and having considered the case records in detail this Court is of the view that instead of transfer, the investigation of the Patrasayer Police Station must be supervised by a sufficiently senior police officer.

In those circumstances, the Superintendent of Police, Bankura shall nominate a sufficiently senior officer, not less than a rank of DSP to oversee the instant investigation. The final report will have to be approved and signed by the DSP appointed.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
