Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the subject-matter of the case relates to recovery of 50 bottles of cough syrup from the possession of the petitioner and the petitioner is in custody for 81 days. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that investigation of the case is in progress.

Having considered that commercial quantity of the contraband has been seized and the investigation is still in progress, at this stage, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 35 of 2026, is, thus, dismissed.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
