1. The petitioner's grievance that the monies from his account have been illegally and unlawfully debited, is challenged by the Bank, in its report affirmed on December 8, 2025, a copy of which is kept on record.

2. Ms. Mitra, learned Advocate appearing for the Punjab National Bank, submits that the petitioner, his wife and several other persons, who were appointed as recovery agents of the concerned Bank, subsequently turned the table on the Bank and misappropriated substantial amounts from the Bank itself.

3. This factual dispute cannot be gone into the present writ petition, in addition to the fact that the petitioner has an alternative and efficacious remedy available before the Banking Ombudsman.

4. The petitioner has the liberty to approach the Ombudsman with his grievance seeking redressal thereof.

5. The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

6. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.

7. The allegations contained in the writ petition and the report are deemed to be denied by the respective parties as neither have filed any counter to the other's pleadings.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on usual undertaking.
