This revisional application seeks expeditious disposal of an application for alimony pendente lite under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 filed in (registered as Misc. Case No. 89 of 2021) in connection with Matrimonial Suit No. 2564 of 2019, pending before the Learned Additional District Judge, 8th Court at Alipore.

Mr. Ghosh, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the said application which was registered as Misc. Case No. 89 of 2021 has been pending since about five years. It is further submitted that the opposite party has been taking unnecessary adjournments and has been avoiding filing of written objection against the petitioner's application thereby prolonging the adjudication thereof.

In view of the nature of the order proposed to be passed, prior service of notice of the revisional application along with a notice is not being directed,

however, the petitioner shall remain obliged to serve a copy of the revisional application along with a copy of this order upon the opposite party within a week from date.

Having heard the learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner and having considered the material on record, this revisional application is disposed of by requesting the learned trial court to dispose of the petitioner's application under Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 (Misc. Case No. 89 of 2021) as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of three months from the next date fixed without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

CO 26 of 2026 stands disposed of with the above observations. No Costs.
