The petitioner renews his prayer for bail which was rejected on merits, twice earlier, firstly on May 6, 2024 in CRM (NDPS) 774 of 2024 and then on July 8, 2024 in CRM (NDPS) 1009 of 2024. The prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner was also rejected on January 27, 2022 in CRM 8650 (A) of 2021. The petitioner submits that no contraband was seized from him. In course of investigation, his name came up as he is the registered owner of a Bolero vehicle from which seizure of commercial quantity of narcotics was made.

In view of the earlier rejections of his prayer on merits and since there is no significant change in circumstance, we do not see any reason to re-consider the petitioner's prayer for bail, at this stage.

CRM (NDPS) 27 of 2025 is, thus, dismissed.

We see that 7 out of 21 charge sheet named witnesses have already been examined. However, considering that the petitioner is in custody for about 330 days, we request the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial to the extent possible and conclude the same on an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment and if necessary, by fixing frequent schedules for examination of witnesses.
