Petitioner seeks bail.
Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the other co-accused granted bail by the High Court. He draws the attention of the Court to the statement recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code and submits that the petitioner cannot be implicated.
Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State submits that the ladies were granted bail by the Court. So far as the petitioner is concerned, he draws the attention of the Court recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the injured. He submits that the petitioner is one of the principal assailants.
Considering the gravity of the offence and involvement of the petitioner herein as appeared from the statement recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the injured, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.
Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
C.R.M. (DB) 18 of 2022 is dismissed.
