Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that, petitioners are not principal assailants. Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the materials in the Case Diary. We find that in an incident of assault, the victim suffered amputation of the hand from the left wrist.

The victim implicates the petitioners in the incident of assault. He however, names one person who actually dealt the blow leading to the amputation.

All the petitioners were present at the moment when the incident took place.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioners therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

This application for anticipatory bail is, thus, rejected. CRM(A) 33 of 2024 is disposed of.
