The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition seeking appropriate directions upon the respondent authorityWBSEDCL for shifting his domestic electricity meter bearing consumer ID No.102378793 installed at the premises situated at Mondalpara, P.O. Kustia, P.S. Sonarpur, Dist. South 24Parganas in J.L. No.107, R.S. Dag Nos. 499, 507 and 508 corresponding to L.R. Dag Nos. 512, 523 and 524. R.S. Khatian No.311 corresponding to L.R. Khatian No.11.

It is the case of the petitioner that there is an ownership dispute between the legal heirs of late Atindra Nath Mondal and respondent no.8. In view of the same, the petitioner submitted an application dated 11.09.2024 for shifting the domestic electricity meter from one part of the property to another at his expense. The respondent-WBSEDCL inspected the premises and raised a quotation on 24.09.2024. The petitioner had duly paid the said quotation amount on 25.09.2024. On 28.10.2024 the respondent-WBSEDCL attempted to shift the said meter,

however, they could not do the same due to objections raised by private respondent nos.8 to 12.

Learned Advocate for the respondent-WBSEDCL submits that they are willing to decide the petitioner's representation dated 06.11.2024.

In view of the said submission, learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that his client shall be satisfied if his representation is decided in a time bound manner. 6.

In view of the above submissions and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent-WBSEDCL to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 06.11.2024 within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as the private respondent nos.8 to 12.

With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
